Matthew Hill is a tax manager since 2001 at Peters & Associates, CPAs, P. C. Previously he worked with large local accounting firms: Green & Seifter, CPAs and Fust, Charles, Chambers, CPAs. Matthew found the larger firms lacking the personal feel and involvement with clients. At Peters & Associates, CPAs, P.C., Matthew has been able to cultivate a more personal relationship with his clients, which he believes is more satisfying and beneficial for everyone.
Matthew’s education consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from SUNY Oswego. Matthew also has a Masters of Business Administration from SUNY Oswego. He received an Associates of Applied Sciences in Photographic Technologies from the College of DuPage. Matthew also has training in restaurant management from the McDonalds Corporation where he worked in management for five years.
Matthew enjoys being involved in the community in which he lives and is a member of the board of directors for the Safe Haven Museum in Oswego. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Matthew specializes in helping clients better understand their taxes and the rationale behind the requirements. He believes that with open communication and a better understanding of a clients business, a greater benefit can be accomplished.
Matthew and his wife, Debora, have twin girls, Kate and Jessica and reside in Scriba. In his free time Matthew enjoys running, golfing, wildlife and nature photography and, most of all, spending time with his daughters doing whatever their hearts desire.
