Matthew Hill is an experienced accountant who
likes to approach accounting with the goal of
making life easier for clients. His philosophy
is founded in the belief that the small business
owners are very good at the business they run.
However, an owner does not always have the time
or expertise to deal with all the tax issues involved
with running a small business.
Matthew
Hill is a senior accountant for five years at
Peters & Associates, CPAs, P. C. Previously
he worked with large local accounting firms: Green
& Seifter, CPAs and Fust, Charles, Chambers,
CPAs. Matthew found the larger firms lacking the
personal feel and involvement with clients. At
Peters & Associates, CPAs, P.C., Matthew has
been able to cultivate a more personal relationship
with his clients, which he believes is more satisfying
and beneficial for everyone.
Matthew’s
education consists of a Bachelor of Science degree
in Accounting from SUNY Oswego. Matthew also has
a Masters of Business Administration from SUNY
Oswego. He received an Associates of Applied Sciences
in Photographic Technologies from the College
of DuPage. Matthew also has training in restaurant
management from the McDonalds Corporation where
he worked in management for five years.
Matthew
enjoys being involved in the community in which
he lives and has served on the Finance Committee
for the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
Matthew specializes in helping clients better
understand their taxes and the rationale behind
the requirements. He believes that with open communication
and a better understanding of a clients business,
a greater benefit can be accomplished.
Matthew and his wife, Debora, have twin girls,
Kate and Jessica and reside in Scriba. In his
free time Matthew enjoys running, golfing, wildlife
and nature photography and, most of all, spending
time with his daughters doing whatever their hearts
desire.
